Q: Is this compatible with dji fpv air unit module?

Yes, BUT, every time you switch modes, i.e. from drone to air unit and back, you have to rebind. This is super annoying. I called DJI and they confirmed this. Hopefully they will fix this in a future firmware release.

Q: With such a bulky heavy form factor why not sell a set of goggles that also work with anolag?

The goggles have analog input, and you can buy a module bay for the front or side to hold an analog video receiver. There's even a power port so the goggles can pass through battery power to the receiver. You have to buy extra equipment, but you can totally use these for analog FPV.

Q: after getting theae together they are really heavy 750g there a way to makes these goggles lighter?

You can get the battery weight off your head. Extended the battery wire to clip on your belt or store in your pocket.

These connect to the air unit. The latest firmware in the patch notes also shows that you have the option to connect to either or. After I flashed the new firmware....I was able to switch between both modes.
